So when all is said and done sometimes we go back to the interview style referred to as the 'talking head'. The question here is; how can we make this more engaging than all the other material that’s out there? Apart from a good script we like to use the lights and the camera; again it sounds obvious but so much content (particularly in the age of user generated content) is really not very good as it does not adhere to some fundamental rules. This example illustrates how quite a dry topic can be treated in a contemporary way with close-ups, pans and lighting effects that create a sense of gravitas and when you have the attention of the viewer is really is interesting stuff.
