Watch Us Grow' the series of documentaries sponsored by the DfES, the Royal Horticultural Society and The Helen Hamlyn Trust for Teachers' TV is going out at 9.15am every Thursday from 4 January - 8 February. A DVD of the series is also being distributed to 5,000 schools as part of the DfES's working outdoor initiative in January. Each programme features a school that has embraced the benefits of the outdoor classroom. From a formal garden through to a brand new vegetable patch, taking in some cooking and media studies en route, each programme explores how best to teach a range of subjects through gardening.
