The Volkswagen Fleet Annual Retailer Awards were held just before Christmas at the 5 star Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, for 250 guests. The event, which was run by Twofour's Events team, started with an afternoon business meeting which not only looked back over 2006, with the help of a series of short videos which had been filmed by Twofour throughout the year, but also looked forward to 2007 and beyond. The evening was a very different affair and came in three distinct parts.

For the first, a celebratory party, Twofour designed and built an 80s nightclub set in the pre-dinner drink area with plasma screens playing 80s music videos and coloured lighting reflecting off glitter balls. The finishing touch - hostesses dressed in elegant 80s costumes matching the iconic Robert Palmer music video.

The second was the awards ceremony itself, in the main ballroom. Twofour used a 30 metre wide screen with edgeblending software to create impact, together with pyrotechnics, confetti, haze and virtual fire. The screen was used to show further videos including a spoof video of Batman and Robin, holiday destination reveals and the award winners "journeys" in the style of reality TV shows.

For the evening's grand finale Twofour sourced several options with the final decision including a 16-piece band, a well-known singer and a celebrity DJ to close the evening. The band also provided walk up music for the winners at the awards ceremony, which was specially written for the occasion. Throughout the evening Twofour's cameras provided a live feed to the stage so that the audience could see in close up all the different elements contained in the event.
