The QCA has commissioned Twofour to produce a raft of work to support the new secondary curriculum, unveiled in July by Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, Ed Balls. Twofour will be making a series of 25 case studies relating to innovation in the classroom for a newly designed QCA website. Twofour has already produced the launch film and will be making an online version of The Big Picture, a film used by Mick Waters the QCA's Head of Curriculum, to present the ideas behind the introduction of the new curriculum to teachers around the country. Twofour's design and animation department has also been commissioned to create the new secondary curriculum animated logo.
Twofour's Head of Learning, Richard Wallis said: "We are delighted to be working both on this project with the QCA as well as another secondary curriculum project with the DCSF, via CfBT Education Trust, to produce an online support portal for all school and Foundation Subject leaders."
The new Secondary Curriculum aims to free up around a quarter of the school day to enable teachers to give more help to pupils struggling to master the basics in English and Maths and raise standards higher across the board.
