The National Consumer Council is determined the government will honour its pledge to eradicate fuel poverty for the most vaulnerable households in the UK by 2010 and has commissioned Twofour to produce a lobbying film to highlight the struggle many people currently have to keep warm. Twofour has filmed three case studies - one featuring a young disabled person in London, another showing what it is like to be a retired couple living on a state pension in Glasgow and the third about a single mum in Widnes. The film, a combination of video diary and interview footage, demonstrates the hopeless situation suffered by far too many disadvantaged people in Britain. The National Consumer Council will be showing the film to MPs and members of the press at the end of March as a part of its campaign to raise awareness of the UK's fuel poverty scandal.
