

Twofour has picked up a Media Innovation Award in the ‘Corporate Website’ category for the Volkswagen EVC Microsite produced for Volkswagen UK. The award was to recognise creative, editorial, technical or commercial innovation for a corporate website. This is the first year of The Media Innovation Awards which is a new initiative to celebrate the innovative use of screen-based media across Devon & Cornwall. An award ceremony, gathering media talent from across the South West took place last night in Cornwall.
Volkswagen's EVC microsite was created to communicate to their Retailer Network the benefits of undertaking a 12-minute Express Visual Check on every car coming into their service area, as well as to share best practise advice. The site also demonstrates the benchmark standard for undertaking an EVC, by showing the process in action. In addition it delivers a number of useful tools – including an opportunity calculator, forms and links to training courses.
The Judges were impressed with way that the EVC ‘addressed a ‘dry’ subject matter in a funky and engaging way’. The innovative design enabled the site to be fun and interactive, whilst still retaining Volkswagen's corporate style. Head of Stakeholder Communications Tanya Elliott accepted the award saying, “This was a very exciting project to work on, and is a great example of how we can use a fusion of video and interactive media to create a seamless educational experience’ To view the Volkswagen microsite click here
