Twofour

Twofour Communications has won a prestigious IVCA (International Visual Communications Association) Clarion Award at a gala ceremony held at the BFI Southbank on Friday 26 September. The Growing Schools Garden Website which Twofour has created for the Department for Children, Schools and Families won in the Interactive Media category. The judges described the website as: “a fun, interactive, sustainable and well targeted project which was highly creative and entertaining, providing an effective educational forum.”

Twofour Broadcast was also highly commended in the Television category for The Estate We're In an incredibly ambitious daytime series for BBC ONE which aimed to transform a notorious housing estate in Plymouth into a better place to live.

Richard Wallis, Twofour’s Head of Learning said: “At a time when the Government is emphasizing the importance of learning outside the classroom, we’ve been delighted to have had such an overwhelmingly positive response to this web resource from both teachers and students and to have this endorsement from the IVCA as well is icing on the cake”.

Speaking at the packed awards ceremony at The British Film Institute Marco Forgione, IVCA Chief Executive, said, “Today we are celebrating those individuals and companies who have shown a real commitment to ethical, socially responsible and environmental communications. People who have helped change the world in which we live. It is the people we celebrate today who can help raise aspirations and change destinies. The IVCA Clarion Award Winners and Champions are standard bearers for ways in which we can bring change about. “

Launched in Parliament in 2003, the IVCA Clarion Awards are not-for-profit and recognise best practice in communicating the importance of CSR, sustainable development, social inclusion and ethical debate. The IVCA is the professional trade body for visual communicators with a membership and associates numbering over 3000 worldwide.
