Created in response to the DCSF’s ‘Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto’ and its Growing Schools Garden Project this website is a virtual representation of an award-winning garden designed by Chris Beardshaw.  Freely available to all at  www.thegrowingschoolsgarden.org.uk the site is intended to be an exciting journey for teachers into the wonderful world of outdoor learning.  It contains 20 short films and a plethora of downloadable resources and case studies, toolkits and guidance, all designed to help, encourage and inspire teachers on their way to developing a creative and vibrant outdoor curriculum in their school.

The Growing Schools Garden Website won a Gold IVCA Award 2009 in the e Learning category, an IVCA Clarion Award 2008  in the Interactive Media category and a Media Innovation Award 2009 for Best Community Website.
